Beginner’s Brush Lettering at Michigan By The Bottle Shelby Township

Join us at Michigan By The Bottle in Shelby Township, Michigan for a night of wine, watercolors, markers and pretty letters! If you’ve always admired beautiful stationery, handwritten signage used at weddings or in home decor, or just love all hand-lettered crafts, this workshop will leave you feeling confident implementing this art form into your events or everyday life!
Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s brush lettering kit (watercolor paper, tracing paper our Brush Lettering Guides Bundle, a Black Tombow Brush Marker, a round paintbrush, an inkpot pre-filled with gouache, and a pipette) and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the class.
Feel free to come in early to check in, grab your seat, and order any drinks (drinks available to order throughout class too!). Class will start promptly at 6:00pm!
This event is 21 and over only. You must bring a valid goverment-issued non-expired ID as you will be carded!

Class Expectations: This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a brush lettering class before. We teach the basics and our expectations for you is to have ink/paint flowing through your pen with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style! If you have tried calligraphy or brush lettering out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you into this lovely form of art!
