Growing up, Echo had a passion for creativity and all forms of visual and performing arts. Calligraphy and lettering were always a huge obsession of hers, starting in elementary school, with sketchbooks full of quotes. She took her first calligraphy class in college in 2000, an introduction to pointed pen, broad edge and monoline scripts, and it was love at first write!

Echo was excited to utilize her new talent, when planning her wedding invitations and day-of accessories. Pretty soon she was getting asked to do the same for friends and family and Echo Art and Design was established in 2006.

After years of slowly growing her business as a side hustle, all while raising 2 young daughters, Echo began to shift her focus to all things calligraphy and decided to “go back to basics”. She sought out every beginner, intermediate and advanced calligraphy class she could possibly find! This led to her to re-discover her passion for writing as well as the desire to share her knowledge. Echo joined Sip & Script in the fall of 2022. 

Currently, Echo is a full time Calligrapher, specializing in live events, engraving, and teaching workshops. Her clients include Nordstrom, Balsam Hill, Creed Fragrance and Prada.

When she’s not doing her own creative work, Echo enjoys doing all the crafty things with her family. Whether it’s DIY projects with her husband, or getting her 2 daughters involved in homemade gifts or themed parties, she loves making just about everything into an art project!
