About This Event

Join Sip & ScriptⓇ for a festive afternoon of Lavender and Lemonade Summer-Themed Modern Calligraphy!

Join us at Yeye Jiang Bubble Tea in Pompano Beach, Florida for a crafternoon of pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more! The perfect crafty afternoon out!

Class includes 90 minutes of instruction and demonstration, our Beginner’s Calligraphy Kit (a pen holder, two different nibs, black ink, two letter guides, and tracing paper), plus a bonus “Paper Bar” with themed paper, and all materials to practice writing on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!

Class will start promptly at 1:00 PM! Feel free to come 20 minutes early, find your seat and purchase delicious boba and croissants at the register. Food and drinks are also available to  purchased during the class, served while you learn! The free parking lot is located behind the Aviara East Pompano apartment buildings. You may enter from either West McNab Road or South Dixie Highway.
Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics, and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style of letterforms!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!
A note on bringing guests aged 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child if you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two. We ask that a ticketed adult accompany anyone under the age of 16 at all times.
