Amy has loved any kind of arts & crafts since she was a young girl. One of her favorite Christmas presents as a child was a huge box that her mom made for her and her siblings with all kinds of different materials to use to be creative. Amy grew up watching her mom always crafting and trying out new projects and when Amy was older, her mom started to focus on quilting which is now her specialty. Similarly, Amy enjoys designing and hand stamping cards and invitations, sewing small projects, knitting and flower arranging. In 2018 Amy took her first Sip & Script class with Alyssa from @coastlineletter and loved the challenge she found in learning calligraphy. As a third grade teacher that teaches cursive each year to her students, she had to get out of her head that you are not supposed to take the pen off the page, something she stresses to her students when writing cursive! Amy started to really focus on her calligraphy in the winter of 2021 and she has found her niche! In her free time she is trying to keep up with her two very active boys at home. Amy and her family love to play board games, have Friday night movie nights, explore new hiking trails, ski in the winter, and relax by the pool or on the beach in the summer!
